Siemens wins turbine order for 940 MW CCGT project in Ohio (US)

Clean Energy Future has selected Siemens as the turnkey supplier for the 940 MW Lordstown Energy Center gas-fired CCGT power project, to be built in Lordstown, Ohio, in the United States.

Siemens will deliver a complete power plant solution for the facility, including two SGT6-8000H gas turbines, one SST6-5000 steam turbine, two air-cooled SGen6-1200A generators, one hydrogen-cooled SGen6-2000H steam generator, two NEM heat recovery steam generators as well as the electrical equipment and the instrumentation control system SPPA-T3000. The group also provided a pivotal 27% equity investment alongside Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and signed a long-term service agreement to help ensure the reliability, availability and operational performance of the units. The total order for the project (including service) is more than US$800m.

Lordstown CCGT power plant is expected to start commercial operations in summer 2018.
