RWE has closed the sale of the 350 MW F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind project to the Polish power group PGE (RWE press release, 10/03/2026). According to the statement, the sale was made due to considerations of PGE being “better positioned” than RWE on a standalone basis. The sale was first announced back in December 2025.
The project is planned to be located in the Polish Baltic Sea, north of the town of Ustka (Poland). At the end of 2025, the project’s Environmental Decision and related data for the adjacent wind development site 44.E.1. were transferred from RWE to PGE.
Despite its exit from the project, RWE stated its commitment to support the Polish energy transition. The company has an operational portfolio of onshore wind and solar projects with a combined capacity of over 700 MW in Poland.
