Russia's oil and gas condensate production rose by 2.2% in 2021 to 524 Mt

Russia produced 524 Mt of oil and gas condensate in 2021 (+2.2% compared to 2020), according to preliminary statistics released by the Central Dispatching Department of Fuel Energy Complex (CDU TEK). The country supplied 288 Mt of oil to the domestic market in 2021 (+4.2%) and exported 225 Mt (-3.2% compared to 2020), including 214 Mt to non-CIS countries (-2.2%) and 11 Mt to CIS countries (-20%). Part of the decrease in exports is related to the OPEC+ agreement, and exports are exported to rebound in 2022. Russia produced 41 Mt of gasoline (+6.1%), 7 Mt of diesel fuel (+9.1%) and 4 Mt of fuel oil (-6.3%); overall, the volume of oil refining in Russia increased by 3.9% to 281 Mt. In addition, the country produced 438 Mt of coal in 2021 (+8.9%) and coal exports rose by 5.7% to 214 Mt. Finally, electricity production in Russia increased by 6.4% in 2021 to 1,131 TWh, while consumption rose by 5.4% to 1,106 TWh. Exports of electricity were multiplied by 2.2 to 25 TWh.
