Rezolv Energy has secured EUR561m in debt financing for its 1.3 GW Dama Solar project in Arad County, in western Romania (Rezolv Energy press release, 30/09/2026). The financing package is supported by an anchor investment from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and an Invest EU guarantee, while a consortium of 14 lenders to provide the debt facilities.
Dama Solar will be built on more than 1,064 ha in western Romania and is expected to generate around 1.8 TWh/year of electricity. Commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2028, while the project has already secured contracts for difference (CfDs) covering 520 MW of capacity in Romania’s second CfD auction in 2025 and has also signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an undisclosed offtaker. In addition to the solar capacity, the development will incorporate battery energy storage.
Dama Solar forms part of Rezolv Energy’s 2.8 GW portfolio in Romania and Bulgaria, which also includes the 600 MW Dunarea East and West wind projects in Constanța County and the 461 MW Vifor wind project in Buzău County.
