Production startup at Total's Edradour and Glenlivet fields (UK)

Total E&P UK, subsidiary of the Total Group, has begun production at the offshore Edradour & Glenlivet gas and condensate fields (West Shetlands, United Kingdom). The combined production capacity of the fields is expected to reach 56,000 boe/d. Edradour and Glenlivet are located in the neighbourhood of the Laggan-Tormore fields which came on stream in February 2016.

The production of this hub is exported to the UK mainland via the Shetland Island Regional Gas Export System (SIRGE) and FUKA pipeline in order to supply the UK domestic market. Total is the operator with a 60% stake while DONG E&P UK holds a 20% interest and and SSE E&P UK the remaining 20%. Total's share has been reduced from 80% down to 60% in July 2015.

As of 2016, Total reports an output capacity of 158,000 boe/d in the UK, most of which is produced in three zones: Alwyn/Dunbar area (Northern North Sea), the Elgin/Franklin area (Central North Sea) and the new Laggan-Tormore complex (West of Shetland area).
