The Polish Energy Regulatory Office (URE) has approved gas tariffs for 2024. The regulator has greenlighted tariffs for PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny (gas seller) and Polska Spółka Gazownictwa (system operator). The gas tariff approved for PGNiG OD for households and other eligible customers was lowered by about 34% compared to 2023. The price of gas in the new tariff for 2024 will decrease to PLN318.14/MWh (€73.5/MWh), compared to PLN484.47/MWh (€111.96/MWh) in 2023.
The tariff approved for Polska Spółka Gazownictwa provides for an average increase in distribution fees by approximately 5% compared to 2023. The prices are separated into three groups. For the W-1.1 tariff group, the average rate of the distribution fee in the new tariff will be PLN126.69/MWh (€29.3/MWh, +5.17% compared to 2023). For the W-2.1 group, the average rate of the distribution fee for 2024 will be PLN67.86/MWh (€15.7/MWh, +4.56%). For the W-3.6 group, the average rate of the distribution fee will be PLN65.23/MWh (€15.1/MWh, +4.75%).
