Plenitude (Eni) starts building a 330 MW solar PV project in Spain

Plenitude, a subsidiary of the Italian oil and gas company Eni, has started to build the 330 MWp Renopool solar PV project in Badajoz, in western Spain. Construction will be ensured by OHLA, Sacyr and Sarpel, and is expected to be completed during 2025. Once operational, the project should generate around 660 GWh/year.

In Spain, Plenitude manages 430 MW of solar pv and onshore wind power in operation, 1 GW of projects under construction and over 2 GW of projects under development. The company also manages a network of electric vehicle charging points and supplies electricity and energy services to 300,000 customers. In January 2024, the company joined the strategic partnership of renewable energy companies BlueFloat Energy and Sener Renewable Investments to advance the development of offshore wind projects in Spain (total portfolio of approximately 1.25 GW of floating offshore wind projects across Spain).

Overall, Plenitude holds a portfolio of around 3 GW of renewable projects in operation in 15 countries and plans to reach 7 GW by 2026 and over 15 GW by 2030.
