Phillips 66 joins Energy Transfer's Bakken oil pipeline project (US)

Phillips 66 has decided to join Energy Transfer's Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) and Crude Oil Pipeline (ETCOP) projects in the United States. The two companies will create two joint ventures for the projects (75% Energy Transfer, 25% Phillips 66). The DAPL project is expected to transport 450,000 bbl/d of crude oil from the Bakken-Three Forks production zone in North Dakota to market centers in Patoka (Illinois), where it will connect with the ETCOP project; ETCOP will transport crude oil from the Patoka point to crude oil storage terminals located in Nederland (Texas) and operated by the Sunoco Logistics Partners and Phillips 66. Both projects are expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2016.
