PGNiG (Poland) will import 5.4 bcm/year of LNG from the US from 2023

The Polish oil and gas company Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) has signed two 20-year LNG supply contracts with US companie Venture Global LNG and Port Arthur LNG, a subsidiary of the US company Sempra LNG & Midstream. Both companies will supply 2 Mt/year (2.7 bcm/year) of LNG to PGNiG as of 2023.



Venture Global LNG will ship the fuel from its Calcasieu Pass (Cameron Parish, Lousiana, United States) and Plaquemines LNG (Plaquemines Parish, Lousiana, US) liquefaction projects, which are scheduled to come onstream in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Port Arthur LNG will deliver cargoes from the Port Arthur LNG facility being developed in Jefferson County (Texas, US) starting from 2023 as well.



LNG will be delivered on a free-on-board basis (FOB) and may be subject to further trading on international markets.
