Petrobras puts Brazilian offshore gas assets for sale

Petrobras has started the opportunity disclosure stage (teaser) for the sale of its entire working interest in gas exploration and production assets located in the Espírito Santo Basin, in Brazil. The sale would include Petrobras' 100% interest in two shallow water gas production fields - Peroá and Cangoá - which are currently producing around 0.9 mcm/d (328 mcm/year) of non-associated gas, and its 88.9% stake in the exploratory block BM-ES-21. The BM-ES-21 block is located in deepwaters, near the Malombe discovery, which is expected to be declared commercially viable in the second half of 2019. The sale would also include the shared production offshore facilities and the onshore gas pipeline to the Cacimbas Gas Treatment Unit (UTGC).

Petrobras has already announced the sale of its total equity interest in 8 exploration and production concessions, located in Bahia state, jointly designated as Rio Ventura Cluster, and plans to launch a new round of offers for the sale of Enchova and Pampo clusters, a set of producing fields located in the Campos Basin.
