Pacifico Energy Korea, a renewable company based in the United States, has been selected to develop the 2.13 GW Jindo Offshore Wind Integrated Cluster Phase 2 off the coast of Jindo County in South Korea (Pacifico Energy Korea press release, 20/08/2026).
The Jindo Integrated Cluster Phase 2 is a government-designated offshore wind development zone led by Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City. It is comprised by the 990 MW Manho and 1.14 GW Jindo Baram projects, for which applications for Electricity Business Licences (EBL) are currently under review.
The company said the projects are expected to support the expansion of renewable electricity supply in the Jeonnam-Gwangju region and contribute to the development of future RE100 industrial complexes and advanced manufacturing facilities.
The two projects represent the second and third phases of Pacifico Energy Korea's 3.2 GW Jindo Offshore Wind Project Cluster. The first phase, the 420 MW Myeong Ryang offshore wind project, obtained its EBL in September 2025 and completed its preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment in March 2026.
