OPEC+ reaffirms crude oil production freeze through March 2026

The eight OPEC+ countries (Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman) reaffirmed their November 2025 decision to pause production increases through March 2026, citing seasonal factors (OPEC+ press release, 01/01/2026).

For March 2026, the target oil production levels for these countries are set at: Saudi Arabia (10.1 mb/d), Russia (9.6 mb/d), Iraq (4.3 mb/d), the UAE (3.4 mb/d), Kuwait (2.6 mb/d), Kazakhstan (1.6 mb/d), Algeria (971 kb/d), and Oman (811 kb/d). Production levels will therefore remain unchanged during this period.

This follows OPEC+’s January 2026 announcement confirming that the 2 November 2025 decision to halt production increases would remain in effect throughout the first quarter of 2026.
