OPEC+ countries (Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman) have announced an increase in oil production of 137 kb/d, building on the 1.65 mb/d of additional voluntary adjustments announced in April 2023. This increase will be implemented in December 2025 (OPEC+ press release, 02/11/2025).
As a result, Saudi Arabia plans to raise its production by 41 kb/d to 10.1 mb/d in December 2025, with Russia also increasing by 41 kb/d to nearly 9.6 mb/d, Iraq by 18 kb/d to around 4.3 mb/d, the UAE by 12 kb/d (to 3.4 mb/d), and Kuwait by 10 kb/d (to 2.6 mb/d).
- In October 2025, OPEC+ announced an increase in oil production of 137 kb/d starting in November 2025, maintaining the same monthly increment as in October (KEI, 07/10/2025).
Beyond December 2025, due to seasonal factors, the eight countries also decided to pause production increases in January, February, and March 2026, according to the organization’s statement.
The eight countries are scheduled to meet again on 30 November 2025.
