Opdenergy has secured USD227m to finance its 371 MW operating renewable energy portfolio in Chile (Opdenergy press release, 07/07/2026). The portfolio is comprised of solar, wind and BESS projects across Chile, including projects such as the Sol de Los Andes Solar plant (104 MW) the Sol de los Andes BESS (90 MW/513 MWh) and the La Estrella Wind project (50 MW). The lenders for the financing package include SMBC, BNP Paribas and ICO.
Opdenergy is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) with a 2.5 GW renewable portfolio across Europe, the United States and Latin America. The company started operations in Chile in 2014, and besides its 371 MW portfolio of operational facilities, it also has a portfolio of ready to start construction projects with a combined capacity of 748 MW.
