Ofgem selects Offshore Transmission Owner for Dudgeon wind park (UK)

As per the fifth tender round launched by the British energy regulator Ofgem for offshore transmission links, Transmission Capital Partners has been selected as the preferred bidder to own and operate the £377m (€422m) transmission link between the 402 MW Dudgeon offshore wind park (North Norfolk coast of East England) and the British grid network for the next 20 years. Transmission Capital Partners is a consortium made of Transmission Capital Partners Limited Partnership and International Public Partnerships.



The £1.5bn (€1.8bn) Dudgeon facility was commissioned in September 2017. It is run by by the Norwegian oil and gas group Statoil (35%, operator), in partnership with Abu Dhabi's renewable energy company Masdar (35%), and Norway's state-owned electricity company Statkraft (30%). However, Statkraft announced in June 2017 the sale of its stake for the beginning of 2018.
