The Nuclear Company (TNC) has announced Prosperity One, a proposed nuclear energy campus of up to 6.6 GW based on up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors, in Kentucky, United States (The Nuclear Company press release, 21/10/2026).
The project is proposed for development in phases, starting with two AP1000 reactors, contingent on diligence, feasibility and permitting. The project still subject to approval from relevant authorities. The company aims to secure federal approvals to start construction works in 2028.
