Novva Group signs agreement for 3.2 GW renewable energy portfolio in Argentina

Novva Group has entered into a binding framework agreement to acquire a 3.17 GW portfolio of renewable energy projects in Argentina from the German renewable project developer ABO Energy (Novva Group press release, 15/09/2026).

The Argentine portfolio consists of renewable energy projects at the development stage. According to both companies, the transaction will be subject to a confirmatory due diligence process and is expected to be formalised through a share purchase agreement in the coming months.

The deal follows Novva’s previous acquisition from ABO Energy of three solar projects in Colombia, with a combined capacity of approximately 40 MW.

Novva is a Singapore-registered platform specialising in data centres and renewable energy infrastructure. Its activities cover industrial and financial infrastructure for AI, including powered land, international data centres and powered shell facilities, all supported by renewable energy sources.

“As computing demand reshapes global energy requirements, assembling high-quality wind and solar assets at scale delivers the certainty and bankability the AI economy demands”, said the founder and CEO of Novva.

ABO Energy said that the sale of the Argentine development-stage assets is consistent with its broader strategic objectives. “The upcoming transaction is in line with our strategy of focusing on core markets”, stated the managing director of ABO Energy.

In December 2025, Fortum acquired a 4.4 GW wind energy portfolio from ABO Energy. The portfolio consisted of 29 wind power projects at various stages of development across Finland (KEI, 02/12/2025).
