Nordex will supply 370 MW of wind turbines in Brazil and 177 MW in Peru

AES Brasil has selected the Nordex Group to supply 65 N163/5.X turbines for the 370 MW Cajuina 2 wind project in Lajes, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). The order again includes service for the turbines for an initial period of five years, with several options to extend up to 20 years. The turbines are expected to be installed in the summer 2022 and will be supplied in a project-specific operating mode of 5.7 MW. In June 2021, the Nordex Group was chosen to supply 314 MW of turbine for the Cajuina wind project.

In addition, the Nordex Group has secured a wind turbine order from Peru. The customer and project are undisclosed, but the company will supply 30 N155/5.X turbines for a 177 MW wind project in the Ica region. The order also includes a full-service contract covering a period of ten years. The construction of the project will start in autumn 2022.
