Lukoil's gas production increased by 16% in 2017 (Russia)

The Russian oil and gas company Lukoil has published its preliminary operating data for the full year 2017. In 2017, the group increased its hydrocarbon production by 2.4% to 2.2 mb/d mainly thanks to the development of gas projects.

Lukoil's gas production jumped by nearly 16% in 2017 to 28.8 bcm, thanks to significant progresses achieved in Uzbekistan gas project developments and the launch of gas facilities at the Pyakyakhinskoe field in Russia. The output of the Gissar and Kandym projects in Uzbekistan rose by 31% in the fourth quarter of 2017 to 2.8 bcm.

The company's oil production throughout 2017 dipped by 1.5%, reaching 85.6 Mt (excluding the West Qurna-2 project in Iraq), of which 4.6 Mt for the Vladimir Filanovsky field only (Russia), whose output rose by 21.2% in 2017. Lukoil's refinery throughput grew by 1.8% in 2017 to 67.2 Mt and by 3.2% in Russia only thanks to the Volgograd refinery upgrade.
