Invenergy, HASI complete equity deal for 2.7 GW US renewable portfolio

US energy company Invenergy and investor HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI) have completed an equity partnership supporting a 2.7 GW portfolio of solar, solar-plus-storage and wind projects across the United States (HASI press release, 10/09/2026).

The portfolio consists of 10 projects totalling 2.7 GW across six major US power markets and seven states: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio and New York. More than 850 MW are already operational, while the remaining projects are expected to reach commercial operation by the first quarter of 2027. All 10 projects have been structured to operate under long-term offtake agreements with corporate, utility and public-sector customers. Under the agreement, HASI will provide funding for each project once it reaches commercial operation. Invenergy will retain control and a majority ownership stake in the assets, while continuing to oversee their day-to-day operations.

US-based project developer Invenergy has developed more than 220 projects totalling over 36 GW and operates more than 20 GW of large-scale power infrastructure across four continents.

HASI invests in sustainable infrastructure assets supporting the energy transition. According to the company’s press release, it has more than USD17bn in managed assets, with investments diversified across several asset classes, including utility-scale solar, storage and onshore wind, distributed solar and storage, natural gas and energy efficiency.
