The American company Intermountain Wind has sold the 320 MW Boswell Springs wind project (Albany County, Wyoming) to the Canadian renewable energy firm Alterra Power.
The wind park project is under construction since 2016 and is expected to begin commercial operations in 2020. The generated electricity will be sold to Rocky Mountain Power, a subsidiary of PacifiCorp under the frame of a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA). Alterra Power also expects the project to be eligible to the US renewable electricity production tax credits.
Intermountain Wind is an American transmission projects and electricity generation company, with an installed operating capacity amounting approximately 1,000 MW. Alterra Power is a Canadian renewable energy company which operates 8 power plants (hydro, solar, geothermal and wind) with a total installed capacity of 825 MW (385 MW pro rata).
