India's PFC launches tender for a Rajasthan-Uttar Pradesh power line

PFC Consulting, an affiliate of Power Finance Corporation, is seeking project developers to build an interstate transmission system (ISTS) to transmit 20 GW of power from the Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Rajasthan (India) under Phase-III, Part-A3. The project entails the construction of a 400 kV line between Bhadla in Rajasthan, where a 2,245 MW solar plant is located, and Fatehgarh in Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state. In addition, the company has initiated a second tender, seeking a bidder to build a 2x500 MVA, 400/220 kV pooling station in Fatehgarh along with a 2x125MVAr bus reactor, as it aims to transmit 20 GW of power from the Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Rajasthan (India) under Phase-III, Part-A1. Bids are open until 18 April 2022.
