India's NTPC seeks developers for 720 MW of wind and 3,000 MWh of storage

The Indian state-owned power utility NTPC has initiated a tender for the development package (Balance of System with land) of up to 720 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind projects located anywhere in the country. Bids are open until 4 March 2022. The scope of work comprises design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and providing the guaranteed parameters for installation of the projects.

In addition, the company is seeking developers for 3,000 MWh of ISTS-connected energy storage projects with 500 MW of minimum capacity. Bids are open until 11 March 2022. The company will sign an energy storage service agreement on an annual fixed charge basis with the selected bidders for 25 years based on the terms and conditions of the request for selection (RfS). The projects will be developed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis.
