Grenergy inaugurates 3.5 GWh BESS at solar+storage complex (Chile)

Spain's Grenergy has inaugurated its 3.5 GWh "Elena" BESS, part of the Oasis de Atacama platform, which now integrates 2.5 GW of solar and 14.1 GWh of storage, located in northern Chile’s portion of the Atacama Desert. The company has announced in its roadmap until 2028 its expansion to 7 GWh.

The Oasis de Atacama platform is the origin of the hybridization model that Grenergy is replicating in central Chile with Oasis Central (1.4 GW solar and 5.1 GWh of storage) and exporting to Spain. Together, the OASIS platforms reach 5 GW of solar and 22 GWh of storage

Grenergy's global portfolio includes 71 GWh of storage capacity and 12 GW of solar in various stages of development.
