Grenergy completes sale of 272 MW solar + 1.1 GW BESS project in Chile

Grenergy has completed the sale of the Gabriela project, the fourth phase of its Oasis de Atacama hybrid solar and storage platform in Chile, to CVC DIF for an enterprise value of USD475m, following the project's entry into commercial operation (Grenergy press release, 02/09/2026). The Gabriela project, located in northern Chile, forms part of Grenergy’s Oasis de Atacama platform and combines 272 MW of solar PV capacity with 1.1 GWh of battery storage under a 15-year hybrid power purchase agreement.

The transaction was initially announced in September 2025 and, according to CVC DIF, the project is expected to enhance grid flexibility by combining large-scale solar generation with battery storage. Following completion of the transaction, Grenergy is to continue providing operation and maintenance services for the facility for five years.

The sale follows Grenergy’s divestment of the Víctor Jara and Quillagua I and II phases of Oasis de Atacama to ContourGlobal (KKR) in December 2024. Under its 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, Grenergy targets 5 GW of solar capacity and 22 GWh of battery storage across its Oasis platforms by 2028.
