Gazprom raises 2014 investment programme by 22% (Russia)

Gazprom has approved the adjusted Investment Program, Budget (Financial Plan) and Cost Optimization (Reduction) Program for 2014. The revised investment plan raises the investment level by 22% to Rub 1,026bn (US$24bn). The Investment Program for 2014 includes an increase in capital contributions due to top-priority strategic projects for gas production and transportation. Gazprom will focus on the construction of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta and the Southern Corridor gas pipelines and on the gas production, processing and transmission facilities related to the Yakutia gas center, including the Power of Siberia gas pipeline project to China and the development of its Eastern Gas programme. Gazprom plans to raise investments in the Urengoyskoye field (including well commissioning at the Achimov deposits), in the Astrakhanskoye field (commercial drilling), in the Kirinskoye field (pre-development) and in the Orenburgskoye field. Gazprom will also invest in overseas activities, such as gas projects in Vietnam or Bolivia and in the South Stream gas pipeline project.
