Fluor will build the Ramones II Sur gas pipeline in Mexico

TAG Pipelines Sur, a joint venture between Mexico Power and Gas Ventures (wholly owned subsidiary of GDF Suez), P.M.I. Holdings and TAG Pipelines (Pemex Gas), has awarded a US$357m contract to the ICA Fluor joint venture of Fluor and Empresas ICA for the construction of the 1.42 bcf/d (40 mcm/d, i.e. 14.7 bcm/year) Ramones II Sur Gas Pipeline in Mexico. The 292 km-long pipeline will stretch through the states of San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Guanajuato in Mexico.

ICA Fluor will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and start-up services of the pipeline project.

The pipeline is part of the integrated Los Ramones transportation system, which aims at supplying central Mexico with gas imported from the United States, running from the US-Mexico border to Apaseo el Alto in Guanajuato. The system will be completed in the second quarter of 2016.
