The FERC endorsed Fourchon LNG's pre-filing request (US)

The United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Fourchon LNG’s request to start the pre-filing procedure for the US$888m proposed Port Fourchon LNG project. The company now intends to file the formal application for the facility construction to the FERC no later than February 2018.

The 5 Mt/y Fourchon LNG mid-scale production and export facility project is planned on the Lafourche Parish site (Louisiana, United States) and is expected to include up to 10 liquefaction trains, pre-treatment facilities along with a 180,000 cm marine loading berth two 88,000 cm LNG storage tanks. The project will be deployed in two stages. Once constructed, Phase 1 of the Fourchon LNG project will produce 2 Mt/y of LNG per year for export, while the Phase 2 is scheduled to increase capacity up to 5 Mt/y.

The project developer, Fourchon LNG LLC, is a project company wholly owned by Energy World USA and the Greater Lafourche Port Commission (GLPC).
