E.ON and RPC sign grid agreement for 561 MW of renewable power in Sweden

E.ON Energy Distribution and Renewable Power Capital (RPC) have signed a grid connection agreement for four onshore wind projects totaling 561 MW in central Sweden. The connections must be completed in time for the commissioning of the projects,  expected during the second half of 2025.

The two companies have agreed on the costs and the schedule for the connection of four wind power projects: Sörlidberget (132 MW), Knäsjöberget (92.4 MW), Vitberget (171.6 MW) and Storhöjden (165 MW), located in the Sollefteå and Kramfors municipalities. The projects are expected to produce the equivalent of the consumption of 182,000 homes in renewable electricity.

Wind accounts for 27% of Sweden’s installed capacity with 12.1 GW (end of 2021).
