Eni starts producing gas from the Jangkrik project (Indonesia)

Italian energy group Eni has started gas production from the Jangkrik Development Project, in deep water offshore Indonesia, ahead of schedule. The project includes the Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East gas fields , located in the Muara Bakau block, Kutei basin, in the deep water of Makassar Strait. Production will be ramped up to 450 mcf/d (12.7 mcm/d or 4.6 bcm/year) and gas will be processed in a newly built Floating Production Unit (FPU) before being transported through the East Kalimantan Transportation System to the Bontang liquefaction plant.

Eni is the operator with a 55% stake of the Muara Bakau PSC, in partnership with Engie (33.334%) and PT. Saka Energi Muara Bakau with 11.666%.
