Swiss energy storage company Energy Vault has acquired a portfolio of more than 2.3 GW of BESS projects under development in the United States from the Colorado-based Goshe Energy Storage, adding 15 projects to its build, own and operate platform (Energy Vault press release, 22/09/2026).
The portfolio includes two ready-to-build BESS projects with capacities of 150 MW and 200 MW. Both are expected to enter commercial operation in the first quarter of 2028. Energy Vault’s model covers the full infrastructure life cycle, including development, construction and ongoing service agreements.
Following the acquisition, Energy Vault’s global portfolio of owned assets in operation or under construction exceeds 1.75 GW across energy storage and AI compute infrastructure. The deal expands Energy Vault’s Asset Vault portfolio, the company’s platform for the development, ownership and operation of energy storage and AI infrastructure.
