Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA), a subsidiary of Enel Green Power (EGP), has put onstream the 400 MW Cimarron Bend wind farm in Clark County, Kansas. This is the largest wind farm of the Enel portfolio. At the end of 2016, the first 200 MW have been put online and the power produced is sold to Google and the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities within the frame of two power and purchase agreements (PPAs).
EGPNA commissioned 2,018 MW of new capacity in 2016, which is a significant performance increase (900 MW of added capacity in 2015). The company is present in 23 US States and has a capacity of 3.2 GW spread over the US and Canada (wind, solar, geothermal and hydropower).
EGPNA currently owns four other wind farms in Kansas: the 200 MW Caney River park, the 250 MW Smoky Hills-1 and Smoky Hills-2, the Buffalo Dunes 250 MW wind projects.
The company also has renewable projects under construction in the US such as the 300 MW Rock Creek wind project in Missouri, the 108 MW Drift Sand wind park in Oklahoma, the 150 MW Aurora solar power project in Minnesota, the 150 MW Lindahl wind project in North Dakota and the 65 MW Chisholm View II wind project in Oklahoma.
