Enefit Green takes FID on two wind projects (335 MW) in Lithuania and Estonia

The Estonian renewable energy company Enefit Green has taken a final investment decision (FID) on two onshore wind projects in the Baltic States totalling 335 MW. The Sopi-Tootsi project in Estonia will have a capacity of 255 MW and the Kelme I project in Lithuania will have a capacity 80 MW.

Enefit Green is expected to invest around €450m in these wind projects during the next two years. The company has so far invested €77m in the projects, which are part of Enefit Green's previously presented investment plan, which aims to quadruple its electricity production capacity to 1.9 GW by the end of 2026.

As of end-2021, the company had a total installed capacity of 457 MW and an installed heat production capacity of 81 MW. It produced 1,193 GWh of electricity and 618 GWh of heat in 2021. Enefit Green also has four wind projects and three solar projects under construction in Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Finland, totalling a capacity of 258 MW.
