EnBW will acquire up to 800 MW of solar projects from Procon Solar (Germany)

Germany’s EnBW has agreed to acquire 400 MW of pre-developed solar PV projects in Brandenburg from German company Procon Solar Gmbh, with an option to acquire a further 400 MW of solar projects.

The 400 MW of solar projects already in advanced stages of development will initially be transferred to EnBW on 1st July 2022. The agreement also includes an option for the transfer of a further 400 MW of projects, which are still in early stages of development, by February 2023. This acquisition will support EnBW's objective to raise the share of renewables to at least 50% of its generation capacity by 2025.

EnBW and Procon Solar have already partnered in solar energy. In 2018, EnBW bought the contracts for the 187 MW Weesow-Willmersdorf solar park from Procon Solar and built the site, which was connected to the grid in 2021.
