Enbridge (Canada) announces its strategic growth outlook towards 2030

The Canadian energy group Enbridge has presented its strategy through 2030. The group plans to invest US$29bn, dedicating US$2bn to enhance the reliability and efficiency of its Mainline oil pipeline system. Enbridge will also invest US$0.4bn in the Birch Grove brownfield expansion of the T-North Pipeline in British Columbia (+5 mcm/d by 2028), and US$0.1bn in thee xpansion of the T15 project in North Carolina (US) (+14.5 mcm/d of natural gas delivery to Duke Energy’s Roxboro plant by 2027-2028). 

In addition, Enbridge is evaluating the investment of about US$50bn on a diversified portfolio around liquid pipelines (optimizations on its Mainline system, market access extensions, U.S. Gulf Coast expansions, low-carbon opportunities), gas transmission (Permian and US Gulf Coast expansions and power demand related projects), gas distribution (foundational utility rate expansion and power demand related projects) and renewables (over 3 GW of advanced renewable projects). 

Headquartered in Alberta (Canada), Enbridge possesses North American natural gas, oil and renewable power networks as well as a growing European offshore wind portfolio. The company reported the production of over 6 mbl/d of oil egress, generates over 5 GW of lower-carbon electricity.
