EDF power solutions North America has signed two 25-year power purchase agreements with the US power utility NV Energy covering the full output of the Winston Energy Project in Nevada, United States (EDF power solutions press release, 18/08/2026).
The Winston Energy Project is planned for development in Lyon County (Nevada, US) and it comprises a 400 MW solar power plant with a 400 MW/1.6 GWh BESS. The project is expected to start operations electricity in October 2029, when it should generate approximately 1.11 TWh/year of renewable electricity, enough to supply around 100,000 homes and avoid emissions equivalent to those produced by more than 187,000 passenger vehicles.
EDF power solutions North America, a subsidiary of EDF Group, has developed more than 26 GW of wind, solar and storage projects across North America.
