EDF and Total Eren sign PPAs for 716 MW of solar projects in India

EDEN Renewables India, the Indian joint venture of Total Eren and EDF Renewables, has signed four 25-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for four solar power projects totaling 716 MWp in northern India. EDEN Renewables India will sell power generation from a 450 MWp (300 MWac) PV project in the State of Rajasthan to the Federal governmental agency Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Power generation from two solar PV projects of 98 MWp (70 MWac) each and from one 90 MWp (MWac) in the State of Uttar Pradesh will be sold to the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The four solar PV projects are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2020 and generate nearly 1.2 TWh/year, enough to supply 1.1 million Indian households.

EDEN Renewables India has been developing solar projects in India since 2016. It already operates four solar power plants totalling 207 MWp of installed capacity in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh.
