Doosan wins EPC, turbine contract for the 1.2 GW O Mon 3 CCGT project (Vietnam)

A consortium formed by South Korea's Doosan Enerbility and PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), a subsidiary of state-owned Petrovietnam (PVN), has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the 1,155 MW O Mon 3 combined-cycle gas-fired power plant in Can Tho, Vietnam (Doosan Enerbility press release, 01/10/2026).

Under the KRW840bn (USD620m) Doosan Enerbility and PTSC will be responsible for EPC works, while Doosan Enerbility will also supply the plant's steam turbine. The project will be developed within the O Mon power complex at approximately 180 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City and is scheduled for completion in 2030. The award follows the consortium's O Mon 4 contract secured in 2025, also for PVN within the same power generation complex.

Including this award, Doosan Enerbility has secured five combined-cycle power plant contracts in domestic and international markets during 2026, with a combined value of approximately KRW3.9tn (USD2.9bn).
