DayOne Data Centers has signed bilateral renewable energy supply agreements with TNB Renewables and TNB Power Generation covering 1.5 GW of solar capacity and 2.2 GWh of BESS in Malaysia (DayOne press release, 10/06/2026). Formalized under Malaysia’s Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS), the contracts encompass ground-mounted solar and hybrid hydro floating solar installations, alongside the transfer of renewable energy certificates.
The contracts extend an earlier June 2025 CRESS agreement with TNB for 500 MW of renewable power over a 21-year term, raising DayOne's total secured capacity in Malaysia to over 1 GW. The supply is planned to support DayOne's two local hyperscale campuses (the Nusajaya Tech Park and Kempas Tech Park).
DayOne has committed to a cumulative investment of MYR28bn (USD6.9bn) by the end of 2026 to scale Malaysia into its largest global operational footprint. These agreements are expected to help the operator meet its target of 100% renewable energy by 2030.
