The Czech energy company EPH has unveiled its 2024 results, posting €23.3bn in revenues (-3%). The company’s net power generation reach 32 TWh in 2023 (-11%), including 11.1 TWh in Italy (-7.5%), 7.4 TWh in the United Kingdom (-18%), 6.4 TWh in the Netherlands (-13%), 4.6 TWh in Germany (+8%) and 1.2 TWh in Czechia (-19%).
EPH’s net installed capacity reached 14.6 GW in 2023 (+700 MW or +5%), including 10.8 GW of gas-fired capacity, 2.9 GW of coal-fired and lignite-fired capacity, 663 MW of biomass, 103 MW of wind and 102 MW of solar capacity. The company had 4.8 GW in Italy, 4 GW in the United Kingdom, 2.6 GW in the Netherlands, 1 GW in Germany and 900 MW in Czechia. EPH, which decommissioned 690 MW of coal power plants in 2024, plans to phase out coal and lignite by 2030.
In addition, EPH distributed 6.1 TWh of electricity (+2%) and 47.3 TWh of gas (+4%) in 2024, transported 17.8 bcm of natural gas (+11%) and operated over 64 TWh of gas storage capacity.
