CNPC's Tangshan LNG project, located in the Caofeidian Industrial Zone in the city of Tangshan, Hebei Province (China), has started gas delivery, indicating that phase I of the project is put into operation. Consisting of receiving terminals, a dock, and auxiliary facilities, the project is designed to have a capacity of 10 Mt/year, and to be built in two phases. Phase I includes four LNG storage tanks of 160,000 m3 each, a dedicated unloading dock for LNG carriers with maximum capacity of 270,000 m3, and auxiliary facilities for the terminals. With maximum gasification capacity of 24 mcm/d, Phase I of the project is capable of delivering 8.7 bcm/year. Four more storage tanks of the same volume and one more berth are planned to be built in phase II. Tangshan LNG project is jointly invested and constructed by PetroChina, Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, and Hebei Natural Gas Company Limited. It is CNPC's third LNG project after Jiangsu LNG and Dalian LNG projects.
