China Datang plans two 700 MW USC coal-fired power projects (China)

The board of Chinese power group China Datang has approved the development of the Huludao Cogeneration Project, consisting of two 350 MW ultra-super critical (USC) coal-fired power units, and located in the Beigang Industrial Park, in Huludao City (Liaoning Province of China). The project received approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Liaoning in early July 2015. Total investment is estimated at RMB 3,514m (US$565m), of which 80% financed through bank loans.

In addition, China Datang has decided to go ahead with the development of the Tangshan Beijiao Cogeneration Project, in Kaiping District, Tangshan City in the Hebei province. As Huludao, the project will consist of two 350 MW ultra-super critical (USC) coal-fired power units and has already secured approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Hebei Province (June 2015). Total investment is estimated at RMB 3,190m (US$515m), of which 80% financed through bank loans.
