Brazil's Petrobras selects Keppel to supply a FPSO for the Búzios oil field

The Brazilian national state-owned oil and gas company Petrobras has selected Keppel to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of P-83, a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO), for about US$2.8b, as a result of the advancement of the Búzios oil field development project, in the Santos Basin pre-salt area. The project will have a production capacity of 225,000 bbl/d of oil, water injection capacity of 250,000 bbl/d, 12 mcm/d of gas processing and a storage capacity of 2 mbl. It will also include CCUS technology. Delivery is scheduled in early 2027. The platform will be the eleventh unit to be installed in Búzios. Petrobras is the operator of this field with a 92.6% stake, with CNOOC and CNODC as partners, with 3.7% each.
