The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has entered into a multi-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Thailand’s Gulf Group, an energy and infrastructure conglomerate, to supply approximately 2 Mt/year of LNG from 2027 (ADNOC press release, 05/10/2026).
“The SPA extends a partnership between ADNOC and the Gulf Group established through their first LNG supply agreement signed in 2025 and builds on ADNOC Trading's direct LNG deliveries to Asia”, according to the company’s press release.
Under the new agreement, ADNOC Trading will deliver the LNG over several years. However, the companies have not disclosed the contract duration or any other commercial terms.
ADNOC launched its global LNG marketing and trading platform in Abu Dhabi Global Market in July 2026. The platform aims to market 47 Mt/year of LNG beyond 2030.
