India’s Adani Group has announced a USD100bn investment plan by 2035 to build renewable energy-powered, AI-ready data centers, aiming to create the world’s largest integrated data center platform (Adani press release, 17/02/2026). “The investment is expected to catalyse by 2035 an additional USD150bn across server manufacturing, advanced electrical infrastructure, sovereign cloud platforms and supporting industries. Together, this is projected to create a USD250bn AI infrastructure ecosystem in India over the decade” the company stated.
This roadmap expands AdaniConneX’s existing 2 GW national data center capacity toward a 5 GW target. AdaniConneX is an Indian joint venture focused on data centers, formed by Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, a US-based data center operator.
Adani noted that its vision is backed by strategic partnerships including Google, while revealing ongoing talks with other major players to develop large-scale campuses across India, without further specifics. Separately, Google announced in October 2025 a USD15bn investment over five years to construct an AI data center hub in southern India.
