Enerdata at IAEE European Conference 2023 – July 25-26, Milan

Milan

Enerdata’s team participated in the IAEE European Conference - The Global Energy Transition Toward Decarbonization: a multi-scalar perspective and transformation -  in Milan, Bocconi University.

On July 25, Aurélien Peffen, Project Manager, took part in a keynote on Energy Transition; the EU roadmap to 2050.

Over the past few years, the EU has made substantial efforts to create an Energy Transition roadmap leading to 2050. Thus far, detailed objectives for 2030 have been successfully established, and the long-term goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 has been adopted. The focus of European policymakers will naturally shift towards the 2040 milestone, needing the definition of new targets. The EU’s long-term energy-climate policy framework will play a key role in facilitating investments for decarbonisation across all sectors of the economy.

Based on analyses from our EnerFuture scenarios, Aurélien will review several key issues relevant for the 2040-2050 timeframe in Europe and contextualise them with global efforts.
