ENERDATA has coordinated the project World Energy Technology Outlook – Hydrogen (WETO-H2) for the DG Research of the European Commission. This study, which uses the world energy model POLES, bears on the energy issues by 2050 posed by the prospect of climate change and by the downgrading of the availability of energy resources, especially fossil ones. The study also gives an insight on the prospects of hydrogen within the energy system.
This project has been performed with different European partners : LEPII-CNRS in France, IPTS (Institute for Perspective Technology Studies, JRC, Spain), Federal Planning Bureau (Belgium), ECN (Energy Research Centre of Netherlands), University of Sussex (SPRU Energy Research Group, UK) and MEERI (Poland).
The final report is available on the web site of the European Commission.
