Enerdata continues its collaboration with the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) of Tunisia with a new project on the follow-up of the Tunisian nationally determined contribution (NDC).
More specifically, this project, financed by the German development agency GIZ, should make it possible to develop a methodology for monitoring and evaluating NDC implementation in the energy sector in Tunisia, in accordance with the requirements of the Paris Agreement. The methodology will then be applied to measure the progress made in the energy sector over the period 2015-2020. The mission should also make it possible to recommend the necessary improvements to the EnerInfo database of ANME to implement this methodology, and thus improve the transparency of accounting for greenhouse gases emissions of the NDC in the energy sector.
Finally, the project includes a capacity building component for stakeholders on the different aspects of the proposed methodology.
