The Directorate General for Energy and Climate (DGEC) of the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition has mandated Enerdata to carry out an audit of their internal modelling tool 'GEStime', which enables French energy consumption and sectoral GHG emissions projections for 2030 and 2050. The study provided an external opinion on the calculator in all its aspects, both in terms of ease of use and clarity of the tool, as well as the relevance of the modelling and the data sources used. Enerdata was thus able to provide the DGEC with a critical analysis of the tool, supported by an extensive list of remarks and areas for improvement.
