16 Mar 2017

Total has started up production from the Moho Nord deep offshore project, located offshore Pointe-Noire in Congo. The company is the operator of the project with a 53.5% interest, in partnership with Chevron (31.5%) and Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (15%). The project is developed through 34 wells tied back to a new tension leg platform and has a production capacity of 100,000 boe/d. The oil is processed on the Likouf floating production unit and then exported by pipeline to the Djeno onshore terminal, also operated by Total.

Total has been active in Congo for nearly 50 years, where it is one of the largest oil producers. In 2016, Total’s equity share of production averaged 89,000 boe/d.
